Unfortunately, once a driver has qualified for their HGV license many insurance companies require that individual to have a minimum of two years' experience under their belt in order to be covered.  Of course, this presents a driver with the ultimate Catch 22 situation of "How do I get experience if I am not allowed to drive?"
