Responsible for developing contacts and leads, business development and developing these relationships through to securing new business and closing new business contracts. 

Location: South Link Limited, Unit 5, 54 Blenheim Road, Lancing Business Park, Sussex, BN15 8UQ

Key Responsibilities:

In keeping with accepted principles of good working practice, you may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties, as directed by your Manager.  You are required to carry out the following key duties and accountabilities: 

  • Presenting South Link to potential clients through direct communication in face to face meetings, telephone calls and emails (at present this also includes video calls in-line with social distancing measures)
  • Responsible for your own lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process for all South Links services
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for South Link are captured and explored.
  • You will have individual responsibility for new business and are expected to self-manage.
  • Create and be accountable for all customer proposals, contracts and any further documentation.
  • Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Report weekly sales activity to Director, Karl Reidy

General Responsibilities:

  • Working towards and supporting Company goals, values and objectives.
  • Ensure the highest level of quality of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders at all times.
  • To complete all necessary duties as and when required.

 Additional skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Palletised Freight/ Logistics Industry
  • Have a strong proven sales track record within the Freight sector
  • Have a good attitude to work and show a deal of resilience
  • Exceptional leadership, organisational, communication and interpersonal competency skills
  • Ability to present and communicate to all levels
  • Advanced I.T skills to include Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to Negotiate
  • Confident working independently and on own initiative
