South Link proudly sponsor Worthing Town Girls U12 team and enjoy watching the team come rain or shine! Simon Bates who trains the U12 Girls team speaks below about the club and the girls improvment through the season.

Worthing Town is Worthing's largest grassroots football club.  It is Worthing's only F.A. Charter Standard Community Club.

Established in 1995 and based at Palatine Park in Worthing, it currently has over 40 teams in all age groups from under 6 to adult with over 600 players.

Well over ten percent of those players are female, with 7 teams playing competitive football in the Sussex County Women and Girls Football League. 

Since 2017 South Link has been generously supporting the Girls Under 12s team; fifteen girls from across Worthing who love playing football.  At the start of the season it was a new team comprising both experienced players and complete novices.  They all work hard in training and have really progressed through the first half of the season.

Grassroots football is organised and run by volunteers and operates on limited means.  Support from the local community is vital and much appreciated. 

South Link's contribution this season has made a big difference to the girls. It has meant new match kits and new training kits which have gone a long way to help forge a strong team spirit.  Additionally it has provided us with an all-weather shelter for training and match days, something of real value for a sport played through the winter.  It has also swelled crowd numbers on match days, with members of the South Link team regularly standing on touchlines across Sussex on Sunday mornings.

Worthing Town and its players are very grateful for South Link's support this season and look forwards to working together in seasons to come.
